Yachiyo:Check it out! It's a Red Hare figurine ♪ Mei Fan brought it back for me as a souvenir.
Yachiyo:You know how she went back home for a visit recently? She says she spotted it then.
Yachiyo:Heh heh, isn't it cute? Shiori was losing it, she was so happy.
Yachiyo:Why a horse? Hmm, she probably saw it and Shiori's face popped into her head.
Yachiyo:Heh, I'm mostly joking. I guess it just grabbed her?
Yachiyo:Mei Fan's funny, though. Apparently she bought it without knowing it was a specific horse. The name's written on the back, see?
Yachiyo:She didn't know it was Red Hare until reading it there. Right, the one from the Three Kingdoms.
Yachiyo:Anyway, that got her and me talking, and we thought it could be fun to stage a version of the Three Kingdoms.
Yachiyo:That doesn't sound like the sort of thing Siegfeld would go for? Yeah, you're not wrong there.
Yachiyo:But doesn't that make it even more interesting? The impossibility of it's got me weirdly hooked.
Yachiyo:So then we were like okay, if we WERE doing it, who'd get what role?
Yachiyo:Considering the Red Hare link, I said Mei Fan should be Lu Bu. She didn't seem very sold on the idea at first, though.
Yachiyo:Then Akira-senpai would be Cao Cao and Michiru-senpai'd be Zhuge Liang. They're perfect, right?
Yachiyo:Shiori? Heh... Funny story, actually.
Yachiyo:At first I was thinking Cai Yan, but she's not a really well-known character, you know?
Yachiyo:So I asked Shiori directly. Guess what she said.
Yachiyo:"I want to be Red Hare." That girl seriously loves her horses.
Yachiyo:What, me? I haven't been able to come up with a role that clicks for me yet.
Yachiyo:What do you think?
Yachiyo:...Diaochan? The most beautiful woman in all the world?
Yachiyo:Ahaha, come on. Flattery won't get you anywhere.
Yachiyo:Plus what kind of narcissist is going to be like, "Yes, that's SO me"?
Yachiyo:But hmm... Setting the beautiful part aside, I do see some similarities there.
Yachiyo:I mean, she's the kind of girl who'll jump right into enemy lines for the sake of her savior.
Yachiyo:And she uses her feminine wiles to sow chaos among her enemies...
Yachiyo:Whoa whoa, I'm not saying I'm some kind of seductress here!
Yachiyo:But she's super willful and loyal and determined, and that's pretty much me exactly, am I right?
Yachiyo:Whaaat? Your eyes are screaming, "You've got to be kidding". Wipe that smirk off your face! Ahaha.
Yachiyo:But now you've got me wanting to give it a go! Maybe I'll talk it over with the other girls later. Thanks a bunch ♪

Shiori:What's that costume for, Yachiyo-senpai?
Yachiyo:It's Diaochan. I figured why not go ahead and make it?
Yachiyo:Well? What do you think, Shiori? I designed it myself!
Shiori:It's amazing! You look awesome, Yachiyo-senpai! It suits you perfectly!
Yachiyo:But hmm... Setting the beautiful part aside, I do see some similarities there.
Mei Fan:Liu Mei Fan, Frau Rubin and first-year student at the Siegfeld Institute of Music Acting Department, reporting in!
Shiori:Hello, Mei Fan-senpai!
Shiori:Come look at this costume Yachiyo-senpai made! Isn't it beautiful?
Mei Fan:Hello, Shiori. Oh, my...!
Mei Fan:Yachiyo, that costume is stunning.
Yachiyo:Right!?

Shiori:The skirt just parted and, um... That's quite...revealing.
Yachiyo:Oh, this? It's easier to move around in this way, you know?
Yachiyo:Diaochan is a singer, but she's also an expert at the sword dance. She moves around a lot, so you need a slit at least this high.
Shiori:AaAAHhh! B-but if you move around like that, you'll...!
Yachiyo:Aw, are you awestruck by my legs?
Mei Fan:Yachiyo, I believe what she's experiencing is raw embarrassment. It IS a lovely costume, but it bares a lot of skin.
Yachiyo:Aww, don't worry! It seems like you can see everything, but the goodies are all safely hidden. It's a sneaky bit of design sleight of hand ♪
Yachiyo:But it set your heart racing, right?
Shiori:Y-Yes, I'm still a little flustered actually...
Yachiyo:Then I've done my job as Diaochan, the world's greatest beauty.
Yachiyo:She managed to seduce even Lu Bu. This much is nothing. "Isn't that right, Lu Bu?"
Mei Fan:"Diaochan... You are stunning beyond words!"
Shiori:GaAAaAHHh! Y-Y-Your faces are so close!
Shiori:Is...this what the chemistry between a grown man and woman looks like? You're both so dreamy!
Yachiyo:Thanks, Shiori ♪
Yachiyo:While I was at it, I thought up a costume for Mei Fan too.
Mei Fan:For me?
Yachiyo:Yeah, a Lu Bu costume, to match my Diaochan. What do you think of this?
Shiori:Wooow, that looks amazing!
Mei Fan:It really does... If I could wear this on stage, I feel as though I could work harder than ever.
Yachiyo:Mmm, lovely. Feel free to keep the praise coming! Oh, speaking of.
Yachiyo:I thought up your costume too, Shiori. You said you wanted to be Red Hare, right?
Shiori:Yes! I'm flattered that you remembered, Yachiyo-senpai!
Mei Fan:...The horse?
Yachiyo:What do you think?
Shiori:Aww, it's a horsey! A pretty red horsey!
Yachiyo:Not bad, right?
Shiori:I want to try it on! I want to become Red Hare!
Shiori:We HAVE to do Three Kingdoms!
Yachiyo:I'd like to, someday.
Mei Fan:Shiori REALLY likes horses...
Yachiyo:So, how's my Diaochan? Does it live up to your expectations? Well, watch out. I'm just getting started.
Yachiyo:Do you know how Diaochan's story ends? None of the versions say for sure. In most of them, she just vanishes partway through.
Yachiyo:But if I'm going to play her, I want to give her a proper ending. Even if it isn't a happily ever after.
Yachiyo:I want to bring my own Diaochan to the stage. One that only I could do. When that happens, I hope you'll watch to the very end ♪
