Emiri Katō (加藤 英美里) was born on November 26, 1983 in Fussa, Tokyo. She voices Tsukasa Ebisu and is affiliated with 81 Produce agency.

Background[edit | edit source]

In Emiri's third year of high school, her good friend and fellow voice actress Yui Kano invited her to a school tour at the Amusement Media School, which the two then decided to attend. Emiri debuted as a voice actress in 2004. Originally Emiri wanted to work at a game company, but decided to walk the path of a seiyuu instead.

Emiri won the award for the "Best New Actress" at the 2nd Seiyuu Awards in 2008 for her role as Momoko Akatsutsumi in Powerpuff Girls Z. She also won the award for the "Best Supporting Actress" at the 6th Seiyuu Awards in 2012.

She is also known for voicing Himari Uehara in the BanG Dream! franchise.

She debuted as a singer in 2008 with her first album "vivd". Emiri also used to be part of the music duo Kato*Fuku together with Kaori Fukuhara. The duo released three albums from 2012 to 2015, before disbanding in 2016.
