Stage Left for Two (ふたりの花道, Futari no Hanamichi) is the sixth episode of Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight. It originally aired in Japan on August 16th, 2018.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Kaoruko fails to make the cut during class auditions and lashes out in indignation. Having earned a spot on stage, Futaba’s patience with Kaoruko reaches a boiling point.[1]

Summary[edit | edit source]

A flashback shows that Futaba and Kaoruko have grown up together, and that since back then, Kaoruko has promised Futaba the latter will be the first to see her shine. The preliminary selection for that year's Starlight cast is announced, and Kaoruko is initially upset at the members of Class B for not having a speaking role, and then at Futaba for not answering her request of giving up her own role to have Kaoruko play one. The two fight after Kaoruko finds out that Futaba has been doing extra practice with Claudine, and after they stop sleeping in the same room, Kaoruko makes an attempt to return to Kyoto before being stopped by Futaba. They engage in a revue duel in which, despite emerging the winner, Kaoruko resolves to keep on trying her best in her acting to eventually fulfill her old promise with Futaba.
