Top Star (トップスター, Toppu Sutā) is the third episode of Shōjo☆Kageki Revue Starlight.
Introduction[]
The 2nd years of Class A start to advance towards the 100th Seisho Festival. In the midst of changing relationships between the Stage Girls due to the Giraffe's audition, Karen is still innocently aiming to be a star. But ahead of her stands the one destined to become a Top Star: the top seat of the class, Maya Tendo.
Premise[]
Nana takes a role behind the scenes while Futaba notices that Claudine is bothered by something. Hikari is acting cold towards Karen, but is there a reason for it?[1]
Summary[]
Mahiru Tsuyuzaki is confused about Junna's and Karen's sudden familiarity with each other. As preparations for the next Starlight continue, the class finds out Nana Daiba has decided to participate in the next play backstage, instead of as a performer. Upset about her defeat to Maya, Claudine does not attend class until later in the day. Later, finding her practicing on her own, Futaba Isurugi tries to talk to her about her feelings, and Claudine bounces back up, saying her defeat put her in her place, as she had grown complacent in her talent. Meanwhile, Kaoruko Hanayagi teases Mahiru in the baths about the people by their sides - Futaba and Karen, respectively - leaving them for another. Later, Hikari tries to keep Karen from participating in that night's auditions by locking her up in a shed, but Karen escapes and faces off against Maya, the top student in the class. Karen barely manages to put on a fight and is defeated. Hikari is once more displeased at Karen's participation in the auditions.
