Notes[]

  1. 牙を抜かれる (kiba o nukareru, "pulling fangs out") is an analogy for making someone weaker/less aggressive, as taking the fangs out of a predator's mouth makes it less dangerous.
  2. When Junna sings ゆめゆめ (yumeyume, "never, ever") and Nana sings 夢 (yume, dream), it is the only time they sing anything together. However, the yume they each sing has a completely different meaning, with Junna saying she will never give up on her dream, and Nana saying her dream is dead.
  3. The idiom 霞を食う (kasumi o kū, "eat haze") means to live on low income and not have enough to eat, thus "eating haze (air)". A more literal translation of this line is "go off and eat haze (starve) while you cling to your dream".
  4. 屑星 (kuzuboshi, "space trash") literally translates to "garbage star". Reversing the characters creates the word 星屑 (hoshikuzu, stardust) which Karen says in her revue introduction.
  5. This is a reference to Junna's revue introduction where she says "Even if I can't see my star, I'll look up from this day on", as well as her last name, 星見 (Hoshimi), meaning "star" (星, hoshi) and "to see" (見, mi).
