Personality[]
Shiro is reserved, accommodating, and polite, always keeping her emotions concealed. She has a natural tendency to care for and assist people,[4][5] which is best shown in how she treats Stella. She is not eager to indulge others, however, and is quick to correct and scold Stella for acting childishly and impulsively, believing that it is for Stella's sake. Her mature demeanor is sometimes questioned by her fellow junior high students.[6] Behind this act, she does have childish characteristics, such as being quick to scare. Though she tries to hide it from everyone except Stella, she's easily spooked by horror[7] and wary of bears due to a surprise encounter with one when she was younger,[8] even disliking stuffed ones.[9][10]
Because her life's purpose is to serve Stella,[11] she was raised to be incredibly capable both on stage and outside of it, in order to assist Stella.[12] In order to maintain this, she wakes up before Stella so she can work out (and even trade stocks) in the morning, despite going to sleep later than her. [13] As she is used to performing her duties without a single complaint, she rarely mentions when something is bothering her, choosing to gloss over things politely until she can't take it anymore.[14] Her mysterious capabilities and overprotective behavior has distanced her from her peers, though she is unaware of how they perceive her.[15][16][17] Through these slip-ups that show her ability, she is implied to be suppressing her true potential on stage[18][19]. On a technical level, she is said to be equal to the Edels already, with the capacity to outshine her master.
Shiro values her duty to the Siegfeld family, but above that, she puts Stella before all else and takes pride in being Stella's only friend and protector. When this changes, Shiro begins to have a crisis, trying to convince herself that duty matters more than her feelings.[20] Despite her unaffected demeanor, it appears that emotion (especially a desire for Stella to rely on her) is what defines her actions most.
Background[]
Shiro is the "so-called maid" of Stella Takachiho and has acted as her attendant since she was young. Her family has been serving the Siegfeld family since her grandparents' generation.[21] She attended the Munich National Academy of Arts with Stella before transferring to Siegfeld together.
When questioned by Akira Yukishiro in Regalia about if she has ever cursed the fact that she was born to serve Stella, she could not deny it.[18]
Relationships[]
Stella Takachiho[]
Shiro is Stella's caretaker, but they are much like childhood friends. Shiro is constantly exasperated by her master's immaturity, often preventing her from playing video games. Stella often complains about Shiro's strictness, but she knows that it is for good reason and appreciates everything Shiro does for her. After the incident at Munich, Shiro vowed to be Stella's sole protector, and she holds this position with pride. Shiro loves Stella and wishes for her happiness above all else, but this clashes with her sense of self-worth depending on Stella needing her by her side. Stella appears to be unaware of how much her dependence on Shiro impacts Shiro's state of mind.
Akira Yukishiro[]
Akira has noticed Shiro's abilities, and has remarked that her skill level is on par with the Edels. However, Akira responded to such a realization by hurting Shiro's master to provoke her true potential, and as such they are not on amicable terms.
Ryoko Kobato[]
At first, Shiro is happy to see Stella make a new friend in Ryoko and goes sightseeing with them. Ryoko is intimidated by Shiro, but she wants to treat her like a friend and see her smile. After Stella and Ryoko fight in a Revue and Shiro catches them coming back past curfew, Shiro starts to feel apprehensive about Ryoko, feeling as though the Stella she knew began to change once Ryoko appeared.
Kuina Moriyasu[]
Kuina is the first of the junior high students to notice that something seems off about Shiro, and is quick to share it with Minku. She is suspicious of Shiro's abilities and suspects that Shiro may be more of a threat than Stella in her goal to become Frau Platin.
Minku Umibe[]
Shiro finds Minku fascinating, referring to her as a "strange creature". Minku calls Shiro "Shirorin".

Etymology[]
- The name Shiro Ogami is based on the extinct Newfoundland wolf (ニューファンドランドシロオオカミ, nyūfandorando shiro okami).
- The given name Shiro means "poem, poetry" (詩) (shi) and "spine, backbone" (呂) (ro).
- The most common meaning of "shiro" is 白, "white".
- Shiro's surname Ogami means "big, great" (大) (ō), "congratulation, celebration" (賀) (ga), and "beautiful" (美) (mi).
- Her surname is a play on ōkami (狼), "wolf". Shiro has also been represented by a wolf emoji on the official Twitter.
- It can also be a play on ōkami/ōgami (大神), "great god", which is a possible origin of "wolf" in Japanese.
- The given name Shiro means "poem, poetry" (詩) (shi) and "spine, backbone" (呂) (ro).
Trivia[]
- Shiro's favorite gift is Hariboo Gummies, her favorite food.
- She has a mole on the right side of her neck, in the same place that her voice actress Kanon Matsuzawa has a mole.
- The time on the clock on her Revue cape is 7:15, or 19:15. It is unknown exactly when the Newfoundland wolf went extinct, but their population was very low by the 1920s and very few would have survived after 1925. Thus, 1915 is a year that is just before the species' total extinction.
- Shiro's batons are named Schnee & Glockchen, and they can combine into one larger staff. Schneeglöckchen is the German word for the snowdrop flower.
- There is a German folktale about the snowdrop that tells of the snowdrop giving the snow its color when none of the other flowers would, thus becoming the only flower that was not an "enemy" of the snow.
- This is not unlike Shiro pledging to protect Stella when she was the only friend Stella could turn to after her failure in Munich.
- There is a German folktale about the snowdrop that tells of the snowdrop giving the snow its color when none of the other flowers would, thus becoming the only flower that was not an "enemy" of the snow.
- Shiro once won against Stella 41 times in a row in a fighting game.[8]
- She has the strongest grip strength in the junior high (38 kg).[8]
